The Cisco Meraki Inspector is classified as a Network Inspector and is configured utilizing the managed cloud agent that's included with every instance. Inspections require that the customer Meraki Organization has API access enabled. The Inspector is a multi-tenant inspector, and a global API key can be used to configure the Parent and auto-discovered child organizations. The Inspector queries the Cisco Meraki API on a regular basis to document the critical configuration data across all the Meraki networks you manage over time.
The inspector can be configured to run on a regular schedule set by the MSP, but no more than once every 8 hours.
